WHAT MAKES OUR CANVASES UNIQUE?
All the canvases supplied by Xpressions Studio are printed on Chromata White, the most archival canvas on the market.
Most canvases contain what are known as OBA’s (Optical Brightener Agents), but these compromise true colour, deteriorate and yellow over time. In contrast, Chromata White is an OBA free, acid free, thick canvas that has met and exceeded the standards set by the Fine Art Trade Guild and has passed the blue wool test for lightfastness.
All canvases receive several coatings of a satin giclée varnish, which serves to protect, preserve and enhance. The varnish acts as a UV inhibitor whilst also having the benefit of increasing the density of the print to offer deeper blacks and reds, and brighter yellows. As well as preventing the canvas from cracking during the stretching process it also offers protection against moisture and abrasion.
STUDIO CANVAS
With a choice of three frame rims, the Studio Canvas offers an elegant presentation for both portraiture and weddings alike. Stretched over a 24mm bar, the narrow finish of the frame allows the canvas to be given a defined edge without overpowering the image.
GALLERY WRAP
The Gallery Canvas is the most minimalist of all our canvases. Wrapped around a deep 45mm bar, it sits proudly from the wall and benefits from a three dimensional effect as the image is allowed to wrap around the edges.
NATURALS CANVAS
The Naturals Canvas collection can be simply described as furniture for your walls. By sitting a canvas wrapped around premium 24mm stretcher bars onto a bed of real veneered woods, we have created a stunning centerpiece which would take pride of place in any room.
GRANDE CANVAS
For an imposing and dramatic canvas, the Grande Canvas is one of the most impressive canvas presentations. The canvas is first stretched around 45mm gallery canvas bars and then floated into a deep block moulding to give a flush front. Available in either a black or a white finish it is a canvas of the utmost quality and style.
VIENNA CANVAS
The Vienna range gives yet another opulent finish to a deep gallery wrapped canvas. Available in two different profiles, the dark wood tones finished with an ultra smooth tactile lacquer superbly surround the canvas and gives the overall presentation a luxury presence.
